POSTED: 09/04/2025

Discover the standout features of the new Speed Twin 900. The global motorcycle media gathered to experience the updated Speed Twin 900 during our international press ride. We gave our fans and followers the chance to ask us their questions about this exciting new model. Here’s everything you wanted to know, answered by the Triumph team.

A) The classic 18-inch front wheel is the same diameter fitted to our Bonneville models. This contributes towards the Speed Twin 900’s authentic style, as well as its fun and engaging handling.
A) The seat has been redesigned with more padding for greater comfort, and the new height of 780mm provides more legroom. A low seat is also available as an accessory, reducing the seat height to just 760mm. This, combined with the narrow profile, makes it easy to reach the ground.
A) The characterful 900cc Bonneville Twin is all about the torque delivery. It's responsive and effortless, with 80Nm available at less than 4,000 revs. Peak power of 65PS is at 7,500rpm.
A) Every Triumph accessory is designed alongside the bike, with more than 75 dedicated parts available for the Speed Twin 900. With such a wide range of personalisation options, it’s easy to create your own custom take on this timeless look.
A) There are three design schemes to choose from: Porty Pure White, with bright blue and orange stripes on the tank Moody Phantom Black, with dark grey stripes and gold accents Classy Aluminium Silver
A) Triumph Shift Assist isn't available on the Speed Twin 900. The more sporty rear-set footpegs of the new Speed Twin 1200 RS allowed room to fit the TSA unit, and it complements that model’s more focused, dynamic ride.
A) The new Speed Twin 900 is a cleaner, more contemporary evolution of our iconic Speed design DNA. There are major upgrades to the suspension, swingarm, and brakes, plus new technology, including Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control, as well as new multifunction instruments. Why not visit your Triumph dealer to see the finer details for yourself?
A) The upgraded rear suspension is mounted to an aluminium swingarm that’s lighter and stiffer, delivering more precise body control and a ride that is as laid-back or dynamic as you want it to be. The swingarm fitted to our Bonneville T100 is a more traditional steel construction, staying true to its authentic heritage design.
A) The new Speed Twin 900 has a 12-litre fuel tank and official fuel consumption of just 4.0 litres/100km* (70.6 mpg). (*CO2 emissions and fuel consumption data are measured according to regulation 168/2013/EC. Figures for fuel consumption are derived from specific test conditions and are for comparative purposes only. They may not reflect real-world riding results. *)
A) Yes – a low seat is available as an accessory, reducing the seat height to just 760mm. This, combined with the narrow profile, makes it easy to reach the ground.
A) The 900cc Bonneville Twin is all about torque delivery – 80Nm at just 3,800rpm – with gear ratios that ensure great throttle response, effortless acceleration, and comfortable cruising.
